Vacuum layer of liquid nitrogen tank: key technology for safeguarding ultra-low temperature environment

The core technology of the liquid nitrogen tank's ability to maintain an ultra-low temperature environment of -196 ℃ for a long time lies in its unique vacuum layer design. This seemingly simple structure actually contains precise engineering principles and materials science.

 

Structure and principle of vacuum layer

The liquid nitrogen tank adopts a double-layer structure design, and the interlayer space formed between the inner and outer walls is drawn into a highly vacuum state. This structure blocks heat transfer in three ways:
1. Vacuum isolation conduction: Gas molecules are extremely rare in a vacuum environment, greatly reducing thermal conduction
2. Reflective layer blocks radiation: The multi-layer aluminum plated reflective film inside the interlayer can reflect more than 90% of thermal radiation
3. Support structure optimization: Minimize thermal bridge effect with specially designed support points

1. Large areas of frost appear on the outer wall of the tank
