The use of liquid nitrogen tank in cell culture: the general process of cell culture, including preparation, material extraction, culture and cryopreservation and resuscitation. In order to preserve cells, especially mutant cells or cell lines which are difficult to obtain, cells should be frozen.
The cryopreservation temperature is generally 196 C liquid nitrogen temperature. Cells are collected into the cryopreservation tube and added with protective medium. The cells are cryopreserved at a certain cooling rate and finally stored in liquid nitrogen. At very low temperatures, the time of cell preservation is almost infinite.
Currently, the standard cell bank or cell bank in the United States includes skin fibroblast lines from normal people and patients with various diseases and nearly 75 hybridoma cell lines from different species.
